Distance
Life as we know it suddenly halted,
people falling ill,
breath lightening,
cough increasing,
young and old alike,
no immunity,
little understanding,
less time given.
Tears dropping like rain,
close but far away,
alone we enter,
alone we leave,
together we mourn,
together we pray...
but alone we must stay.
