Dissolve and Vanish

Dreams that seem to make no sense
      bits and pieces of suspense
dissolve and vanish before my eyes
      blackmail-spirals, howling skies

    All exits blocked, no escape
      ghastly images, scimitar-shaped
    horrors dredged-up, long suppressed
      drown in light once awake

Yep -- dreams are in control -- in their own realm of spooky symbolism. Light (dawn) sends them back to deep shadows of consciousness...stores them there, till the next perhaps truthful night of deserved terror. Very Halloween like. Good one, Gershon.

Crazy how those dreams go! Often times I am watching my dream. One of my favorite dreams of late was seeing my brother through a window, driving a carriage, then being surprised as the horses hover above the ground…perhaps my bro is Santa…lol! I shared the dream with him. Too fun, much better than the horror show. Blessings and sweet dreams!

Hello Gershon, Well said that the fleeting aspects of dreams are just that. I love sleeping in a little longer on Saturdays because that's when I remember most of the fleeting dreams. - Blessings, My Friend, Daniel

Brilliantly penned, Gershon. Our dreams can take us to uncharted realms. ~

That's for sure, Regina. Just like Planet Earth in a way: What's under the ocean is largely uncharted, like the dreams that bubble p from or subconscious. Cheers, gw

Ah those nightmares Gershon, and those loopy dreams - Scary. The worst thing is remembering them. If i wake with one of them - I remind myself it's only a dream and to rewind. Maria

100% Remembering nightmares is scarier than having them sometimes. Thanks for the insight, Maria. Here's to pleasant(!) dreams. :) Gershon
