Dismantling the Cage

I’ve lost it with the fools.
I’ve lost it with the pain.
So many of us have now gone
To what is left over must remain?

The eyes of fear crying in the night.
A husband, daughter, son or wife gone forever no matter what day, what night.
Dark corridors with no doors, no promises and no light.

Why do we have to in order to live constantly be prepared to fight?
Why do I have to love them but not see you?
Why do we have to decide on where and when love must rule?
