Disguise

I pretend that I like you but still avert your eyes
You think everything is better now but you can't see my disguise

I hide behind a smile or a joke and I don't tell you the reasons why
I hated you in the first place and why being around you made me want to die

But now everything is OK or so I would have you believe
So you'll never know the truth and believe the lies I weave

After everything thats happened I seem to hate you more and more
Every memory that goes through my mind destroys my very core

So I pretend its over now and hope you believe my lies
But I will never stop hating you and I will keep up my disguise.
