Disconnect

Disconnected feelings
to protect my heart
I read your text messages
you have quite an art

Trying to play it cool
to keep things disconnected
But here you come my friend
with your words to be collected

Then I hear her calling
calling out my name
Lady Freya assuring me
that you are not the same

She said not to compare you
to those who came before
Besides you are stronger now
You can walk out that door

I agreed I should meet with you
But my nerves began to rattle
I swear I’m going to text you
and then began the battle

Started to type the message
And I heard her she said no
No my little goddess
you must get up and go

The date is just practice
but you will get it right
Go get in your car right now
And buckle up real tight

I was so nervous
waiting for you there
When you walked in
I felt there was no air

Trying hard to breathe
when you reached out for me
The room got real dark
And then I couldn’t see

My senses they went crazy
and then they went wild
I heard Freya say just breathe
you silly woman child

The hug that you gave me
was very unexpected
I realized right away
my feelings reconnected

What did you do to me
Why did my brain relax
Why did my crazy heart
Forget all the facts

Oh yes I now remember
During meditation
I ask my love life
have total remediation
