I disclaim your anger
Every word I despise
despite your promises
my pounding your walls
my wish to change you
fails.

Your frenzied yells
bounce off my wall
no longer intimidated
impaired by paralysis
this force within
wins.

I fell for you
tiptoed around you
sometimes you accepted
or took me for granted
or used me as crutch

You are now imprisoned
within my indifference

I enjoyed rereading this one again. The weight of your words is visceral.

Such moving words that most can relate to. Your ending is how the strong move on and live to find happiness again.

Hello Darren, you can not change a person, to what you want them to be. The person can only change if they want to change. have a nice day my friend.

Hi, stranger! Where to begin catching up? I know not, so after being shut down March-Nov and returning to find you temporarily gone, I put off figuring out how to jump back in our friendship. I HAVE MISSED YOU so much, don't let my silence fool you. Kyle, too. This poem (I will go there) could have been written by me, I've had this relationship and your last line perfectly and dramatically sums up the final feeling. You've still got it and I still want it. (my email same-lost urs) Hugs-CayCay
