Discernment and empathy have gone hand in hand

Discernment and empathy have gone hand in hand 

Because it has allowed my spirit to grow closer to the good Lords plan 

By giving me the ability to understand 
other people emotions 
and  feelings and not just my own 

Because in turn

The good Lord gave me the opportunity
and the ability to comfort my friends 
with kindness and compassion

Because the good Lord gave  me a clear mind 
to see all these things so that I can help my friends 
sort through any situation just by being there for them 

When all they may have needed is a friend who truly understands
