Discerning Insanity

It is in the collective thought
	The safety of a plausible
Fantasy 
The alchemy of
Turning lies into truths 

That makes us the irrational
Passionate beings 
That rule the earth

In the end
	We are who we
Believe we are
With no proof 
That we are not

We are
	For lack of substance
Aloof 
To the discernment of
insanity
