Disasters

The disasters that happen, are something that we can not conrtol. They always happen. They come every year and when they come we are all in fear. A disaster is a fearful word, for we don't know what calmities it might bring. A disaster can be anything from a hurricane, tornado, an earthtquake, tsunami, or a terrorist attack. we have no power to stop all these things, even though we try. Sometimes all we can do is run and hide. They come witout warning and destroy all things and leave us with nothing but broken dreams. In this disaters we can only invoke the name of GOD to alleviate and guide us through the tremendous loss of life and property. The ones that survive - have learned one thing, that nothing is greater than the power of GOD. Lets all be more united. Maybe that is what He wants...

Your words are always so wise, Lucilla. That is your poetry, your wisdom! As for cats again, maybe you might reconsider getting one again? I have had to give up many cats for one reason or another and my favorite one got cancer after 18 years and died, but she had a very good life with us. There are so many good ones in the world waiting for a good home like i bet you could provide!!

Hello Lucilla, this write so expresses how we all fear natures wrath. I have lost much sleep over this myself. I like what you have to say but feel if you considered taking out a few of the (a's) it would balance out much more but thats just how I see it. Other than that an arresting write. I love the way you leave the last line open to invite the reader to ponder. thank you Karen
