Disappointment

I know I’m a terrible disappointment to you,
I’m not pretty, or clever enough I just fumble around hoping
That something sticks.
I know I have let you down so many times before
That it’s not worth repeating anymore. I know I’m not
What you expected me to be.
I know you must be tired of watching all my failures,
And you must be tired of reminding me what a waste I am
It must be terrible for you to find out that
I’m human just like you.
