Disappear
Are you willing to make the 'Great Escape'?
Are you willing to leave, be alone and do whatever it takes?
That thing, that 'BIG' thing that makes you smile and cry at the same time
Will you disappear and go after 'IT', that beautiful thing that stays on your mind?
Are you willing to go into the darkroom and welcome the divine light?
Will you sacrifice, go without, withstand ridicule, and endure the long night?
Go and slip away like Robert Johnson into a Mississippi night
And come back shining like a Georgia Buck Moonlight
I ask, are you willing to disappear and move forward abolishing all fears?
Will you do the work in silence and be humble, then come out in public and withstand all the jeers?
'Cause if you do, there is a sweet reward, something unimaginable
Yes! A dream, a goal coupled with FAITH and HARD-WORK are quite tangible
Life is not a stalemate, life is living
A sum of give and takes, but what are you giving?
Are you giving to yourself?
Abolishing self-loathing and lending to self-help
This is preeminent for nothing else will come
So work on self, work on that 'THING', and doubt and idleness do depart far from
So think about that beautiful thing and disappear
Walk-in faith, do the work, and POOF, jubilantly reappear
