The Defiant Light in the 
Crushing Dark
Oblivious to the Dark...she 
finds light in every shadow
Unaware of giving in...she 
defies the restraints set by 
others
Knowing she will succeed...she 
ignores rejections of all but her 
heart
Constant pain a reminder of the 
evils we all face...she defies 
them and sheds light on all she 
encounters
Like the rainbow after Noah's 
flood...her joy brings hope to 
any despairing souls that meet 
her
A beacon to any lost in the 
black...she is proof of life's ever 
improving sunlight...
