Direction
Here I sit and somewhat pondering,
why my thoughts are often wandering
to places that I would never expect them to go.
But, I know I enjoy the wander
of those places I often ponder,
as they take me to places and times of long ago.
Some people there, gently swaying.
Some children dancing, some are playing.
Anyway, it is a day of sunshine and of fun.
Lovely days, when love was in the air.
People lived without worry and care.
Only worry, was burning from being in the sun.
But, I would never dare to question
why I ventured in this direction,
as I always appeared at the happiest of times.
To you, I say with this conviction,
none of this can ever be fiction.
Places and times are real, they can be found in my rhymes.
If you wander in no direction
Please refer to my recollection.
So visit the places and times I have told you of.
And when your search is finally done,
you’ve found the world with eternal sun,
Enjoy, and try to capture some of the place’s love.
