Dining At the Diaria Buffet
Dining at the Diaria Buffet
By Elton Camp
Even though it isn’t spelled the same,
Much is wrong with this buffet name
Its name in your mind is bound to stick
For it suggests it might make you sick
Nothing the place serves can be a delight
Because you think about germs every bite
As a good example of just what I mean
You’ll wonder if the kitchen is clean
Or thinking, “Oh, I hope, oh please
No employee is a carrier of disease.”
You’ll look about to seek out detection
Of the health department’s latest inspection
Everything about the eatery you will hate
“Is that clumps of dirt I see on my plate?”
“The taste of this meat seems a little wrong.
I hope to some sick old cow it didn’t belong.”
You will be quite anxious to get out the door
And will resolve never to come there anymore
(Yes, there actually is a buffet with this name)
