Diminuendo
Forever looms omnipresent in my numbed mind,
ominous warning of what yet may come.
Your life stolen
too young, too soon.
Dreams that this nightmare will recede from pervading
and murmuring through my subconscious thoughts.
Spools of selfish sorrow escape my psyche,
descending to darkest nights, unrequited longing.
Does my caress transit your wraith
as naught but cold, misty umbra?
I succumb to
deliquium.
