Digs So Deep

Keeping my head held high.
Forming my narrow path.
Words that will make me sigh.
Give me a mortal bath.

I admire how you can be so
pensive.
I wish things weren't so
offensive.
This greed that builds up now.
This forcing of my own scowl.

Breathing all of this time.
Seeming just so mild.
Get me back inside.
Unleashing another child.

Places that I can't ever resign.
Inside it digs so deep.
My fighting just so reclines.
Just as I'd say this.
Facing defeat.
My soul will sleep.
Just so I can resist.

Break me down.
Take me down.
Amaze my passion.
Quickly sound.
Loudly sound.
For a timely fashion.
