Digging

I push through,
Doors of the mind,
Only to find,
Faded joy and,
Reckless emotion,
It gives me the notion,
That life will forever be jaded,
Even if the day comes-
When I’ve made it,
I’m haunted in my head,
Too often seeing red,
Lies pierce soul,
Lose all control,
Of what may be,
Live and be free,
 I doubt it,
Yet shout it,
Will we ever see peace?
Will I ever meet Greece?
My life of pondering,
Life of wandering,
Never knowing if,
I take that next step,
Will I slip and fall?
