Dig Deep

Dig deep, Now is not the time To act like sheep. Yes it’s not easy to find Some sense and connect To our feet. Dig deep Maybe now it’s good to go down to our cellar And take a peek Dig deep, digging in the dirt Will expose our fears And a heart that hurts Maybe we even think that death is here, But just behind her, is always a second birth, And under the layers, we’ll uncover A hidden treasure, just waiting for us Waiting to be discovered. Dig deep, The Moon she knows And when we slow down or stop, Whispers to our Souls And reminds us That we don’t belong in boxes and holes. Dig deep We all need to find our way back home We were simply asleep and felt lost, Separate and alone. Dig deep, Even when at first glance, The wells seem empty and dry, The road feels steep and it’s hard to advance And the clouds, thick and cover the sky. Dig deep, Ignore your head And take baby steps, Like: cleaning the kitchen And making your bed. © Sangeet Portals April 2022
