Difficult To Explain

To pursue love, you must accept pain,
    for as feeling-beings; we've no choice.
And though it's difficult to explain,
    happiness demands doubt gets a voice.

Just so you know, I've finally made my way up to page 64 in Emotional Entanglements. I don't know why I can't just read a poem and move on. No, I have to analyze them, meditate on them, and really digest them. And, yes, that is what good poems should do!
