Difficult Ambition
i saw the footprints on the sands of the oasis,
and the loamy soils around the rose garden,
i also saw prints on the mountains:
the strings that aid the climber, i also saw
them go the other way around;
(evidence of return,decent)
but i still look for the prints on the sky
around the moon,
and so i still stare up,neck bent,
cos she turned a million miles a meter
in the darkness of the woods, dungeon,
hungry heart when she smiled at me.
i saw me descend the valleys(i didn't know)
went anticlockwise(couldn't imagine)
high among the milky she holds my heart.
my feet never touched the ground:
no job,office,domain.
circles:the universe, clock ,and me,
impeccable gyration, for the arrow i fired
keeps descending, and so she still takes
me along(no direction)just the way it was
when i first saw her.
.
bitter sweet is what i utter
when i am immensed in water
hung afloat to the stinging rays of the sun
bitter sweet is what i mummur
when the sun steps down for the moon
light is life dark is doom
a valve of contradiction regulates
an appetite of glutt
if not i am sunk in the abyss
and gulped up in diarriahoe
i get good milk and millet
for nagging and shout,
i am curled up in a spoon i dare not taste
yonder and yonder my heart wonders
to a place known as comfort ground
where i am still under the sheets
and my eyes transfixed
to the sleeping eyelids and lips of my ever bitter sweet
