Different

There are plenty of days,
I feel I’m not good enough.
Different, unwanted and hard to fit in,
Just want to run away from what is real.

My mom used to tell me,
Being different is special.
I don’t need a surgery.
Just to please anyone.

Often experience isolation,
But it strengthens my determination.
This makes me think
I have something to face the nation.

Words maybe used against me
Someday I’ll make a difference
Whenever I feel helpless
I’ll remember what she told me.
