Did You Tell Her

Did you tell her she's pretty, son An' that you like her hair Did you ask her if she'd like to ride Out in the mountain air Does she know her brown eyes sparkle- Her smile makes your knees weak An' does she know her voice is soft- You love to hear her speak Yep, all these things she needs to hear She's shoppin' 'round you know She'll drive you crazy while she looks But you just let her go Then one day right out of the blue She'll recall all you told That she's pretty, your knees are weak - And that you're mighty bold An' that's the way it works, my boy Don't always make no sense But when it does it lasts a life An' love forever hence

Good advice given. Youth do not always take it, but when they listen to the voice of experience, good things happen. Well done.
