Did we give it a fair chance 
Did we just hold hands 
And shared a dance 
Did we ever feel
That what we had was real 
Did you ever stop and think 
Or retrack 
That I was always the one who loved you and had your back
Through the ups and the down 
You been smiling no more frowns 

Did we start 
A great pact 
Said I'd always have your back 
Did we start 
A great pact 
You are where my heart is at

I looked at you 
And I saw 
You have come so far 
You have beat the odds played the right cards 
Whens the last time that you poured 
And sat back and let the Lord open the door 
I know you are scared 
I was too
Ohhhh, boy, to find someone to love you 
The way I do 
I don't know, but I'm prepared 
To always be there 
This song is for my future guy 
You are amazing in me and God eye 
Promise me you know your worth 
Remember to always keep God first
