Did I? Did U?
Did I leave a mark?
Did U relinquish some depression?
Did I provide some type of inspiration or spark?
Did U learn a valuable lesson?
Did I open up a door today?
For U to walk through tomorrow
Did U take the chance and pass through?
Did I take away some sorrow?
Did U make up ur mind to trust me?
I just see something true
Something that lets me know
Ure trying to put up a fight
U get back up when life
Knocks U to the floor
That’s why my eyes don’t lie
Ure not everything I take U for
Cuz what I see is something more
In my opinion, what I find
Is a special person
A star waiting to shine
I think it is just a matter of time
Did I make U realize?
Did U know all U have to do is stand the test of time and u’ll rise?
