I don't make resolutions any more. However, I do make goals to go after without pressure. It doesn't matter if I accomplished all on this list. All that matters is I have something to strive for. I wrote this as a farewell to 2018 and hello 2019! Happy New Year my soup friends:-) Alexis

Did I

As the New Year approaches, I sit and think
about my life.
Did I do everything that I sat out to do?
Did I attempt to live my very best life?
Did I let my loved ones know how much 
I loved them?
Did I dance on a cloud?
Did I dream big?
Did I take a chance on love?
Did I discover new things about me?
Did I let my muse take the wheel
Did I let my ink overflow?
Did I hold my pen with purpose?
Did I let you get a glimpse of the woman 
behind the poem?
