Dickensian Crumbs

    impish urchins
    bare, dirty toes
    streets of London
      foul odors grow

    pick a pocket
    petty thieves
    dickensian crumbs
      blackened sun

Love all your poems! This one is poignant, sad…should we feel sorry for the urchins, their circumstance…
