When reading this, I thought of two things. That the jeweler is busy picking up the diamonds and examining them and leaving a trail behind, or when he looks into his glass he sees the many brilliant reflections of light in the diamond. I miss the meaning sometimes because I get my own from it, but this was beautiful!
