Diamond

A diamond could only be polished by itself
So be like a diamond
Make yourself yours to polish
Make yourself yours to hone

For no one may care about you truly
Except you who owns yourself
No one may offer readily
The prowess that they possess

For in times of great need
No one may give you bread
So learn to use your own grief
To plant your own relief
