Dewdrops
A dewdrop for inspiration
Loneliness in the air
Hangs on my sweat, perspiration,
With sunshine an expiration
Gets caught in my eyelashes there
Will anybody care?
A dewdrop on a muggy morn
Clinging to the wet grass
Soon after the new day is born
Knowing its end makes me forlorn
But I know this also will pass
Dewdrops remind of glass.
Dewdrops like magic disappear
Like whispers quickly gone
Its suddenly wiped like a tear
And now it is no longer here
Evaporated with the dawn
No more on my front lawn.
