Dew Drops Dance

Dew drops dance on fairies wings
across the mystic morn;
sunbeams sneak as an angel sings
to herald the glorious dawn.

A unicorn runs, jumps and springs
while playing a game of chance;
leprechauns throw flower rings
as wood nymphs do a dance.

Elves do laugh at a butterfly’s jokes
as they have them over for tea;
while the mist is full of Fay folks
who sing an ancient melody

Mourn not the days since past,
enjoy every moment anew;
breathe in the world to make it last
for all the magic within us, is in you.

Hi Beryl! I'm glad you enjoyed this piece, for some reason it has gotten numerous reads in the last few days rather than being ignored as usual. Your comment about the last stanza is spot on, we need to embrace life and the world around us. This was just my feelings woven into a web of fantasy. Thanks again for taking the time to read this poem. All the best, Ron

Thank you Janish, I appreciate your kind words and for taking the time to read this work. I'm pleased you enjoyed it. It was fun to picture in my mind and transfer to poetry. I got a little serious in the last stanza and that was on purpose, It was a message to my audience. All the best, Ron
