Devour Their Souls

Down in the pit
  Where he sits
Awaiting his time to rein
  Causing so much pain
His followers he sends out
  to find the blessed ones
The ones with any special gift
  and there they sit
lurking,
  waiting to devour their soul
In hope to hurt his father and his molds
Grace his father gave the small and meek
With vengeance he yells out and peeks
  The one heaven seeks
Father I shall take what you love
  and eat their souls
So you may not see them on your scroll
In my realm I am damned
but... in my realm I shall rule
  Rule over your pride
and rob them of their souls
  Eating on their flesh
will my followers seek
and flashes of heat they will meet
My father precious children
         are Damned
                                                                                      April Artis-Walter
                                                                                           (Skyy)
                                                                                          8/25/15

The arrogance of the devil to think he has the strength to snatch those who are cradled in God's mighty hand. This is a very well written piece, you captured the devil's aura.

well done, I like the story to this, not only was it darker but it lead the reader down into a deeper war of the sides...neat..

It was my first dark poem in awhile so it was hard to do but... I had fun piecing it together. I am glad you like my story.
