Devoid of Hope

Darkness is hurting mind's eye.
Moon has lost her sight of him.
Dark clouds impedes her vision.

Perspective takes shelter.
In the crevices of his grey matter.
He is losing hope,
she was there to stay.

Life is fading away.
Like those 35mm films.
That melts on the projector lens,
because of the passionate heat.

Causing projections on the screen,
of blurry ghosts like images.
Melting down the wonderful scene,
that you were enjoying moments ago.

White owl, perched on her favourite tree.
Scanning the surroundings,
with her large spotlight, like eyes.
For small creatures of prey.

But there seems to be no movement.
No succor, for her hunger tonight.
Like his torpid thoughts.

He is loosing his sanity.
Please inject his dormant,
Impotent mind with 0.5ml of impetus.

So that He can rewind his life.
And be just the amateur poet.
He was yesterday.

I like the imageries and metaphors you use to describe gloom - a human state without hope. Beautiful way of presenting a pain in the invisible soul. Well written Sam Raj.
