Devil In My Ear

I have the devil in my ear, Saying he misses the old me, It's his decisions that I fear, So I have to take my next step cautiously, Taking steps to become a better person, Doing everything that I can, With every mistake I learn my lesson, With every choice I become a better man, Trying to steer from his foolish ways, He tries to get me to do things I don't want too, Just taking it day by day, Knowing just what I have to do, If God gave us the choice to be anything we wanted to be, Then why can't I take off these strains, Trying to become a better me, The devils still trying to take what remains, Though I may have the devil in my ear, I always have god in my head, Showing me the direction to where I should steer, To have eternal life when I'm dead,
