Devil Breeze

Of my lifetime home, Los Angeles,
I now reminisce,
and think how you, devil breeze,
caused a thing like this.
All the neighborhoods I've lived,
their plight is now dire.
I don't think I can forgive
you for all these fires.

So sad and heartbreaking that five people have died so far! I didn’t know you are from California.

Yes, it's sad. I'm lucky. A few years ago, I moved a short distance away where I am safe, but some of my friends, not so fortunate. My heart goes out to the folks in those neighborhoods, and sorry to see familiar landmarks disappear.
