Detour

Being with you for over 8 years, has had it's share of smiles and tears. But now a collision of principle, and dealing with it is difficult. Why are we both so stubborn? From our mistakes we never learn. A long detour of what lies ahead, Is there another way to go on with life, instead of being left for dead? It's hard for me to remember the bad things that have put me on my knees, out of respect for you I must make my peace. Can you be honest with yourself and understand how much I love you? Not perverted by others point of view. I know I can't make you change your mind or your heart, just remember it was you who sought me out from the start. Maybe you saw something in me that was different from everyone else. Whatever your reasons were then, Do you feel mistaken? Have these 8 years been a dream from which we've finally waken?
