Determination
Determination
As the cold air
Pierces my lungs
I travel on
To an undetermined area
Nothing for protection
But the clothes on my back
I stare fear
Straight in the eye
Where my destination leads
I must follow
I must be willing to risk
It all
Doubts I must cast aside
And battle the demon
Inside me
Before it destroys
All that I am
Determined
I press on
Into parts unknown
Familiarity is a curse
A trap
I mustn’t be fooled
For danger lurks
If I step off path
If I become vulnerable
