Destroying a Dead Man

They give you pills because they want to cover up what they do

But you know deep inside of you what is actually true

The harm you do is really a message of help

They need someone to blame for their treachery and madness

But your empty eyes reflect your true sadness

Their pointless stupid lie is oh so rotten to its core

Soulless deep inside but they win the poor man's war

A quiet siren rings in your ear

But baby you will not shed a tear

You got to work hard to leave them behind

And all the treasures later you will find

Forget the cry for rescue and obliterate the truth

Your scars will never be soothed

One day you will be free and one day you'll run

And your goodness will shine is the blazing sun.
