Destiny's Hidden Magic

somewhere just beyond 
this shelter and shade
is a shimmering pond
with magic too strong to fade
             hidden for centuries
             so intense is its power
             to alter destinies
             in any state and any hour
with the smallest drink
grand visions you'll behold
be careful not to blink
before your full story is told
            or your soul will disappear
            becoming just a drip
            joining the pond deep and clear
            now, do you dare take a sip?
