Destiny’s Angel

If I was forbidden fruit
Would you still eat me
Even if you neon knew
I’m not the one from your dreams
Stealing away your fuchsia fantasies
Feeling you pray for hazel healings

If I was on fire would you help
Drown my desires with your well
Full of holy water spiritually rich
Like sleeping beauty would you kiss

If I was an engine with no start
Would you repair me give me spark
Build me a life manufacture a car
Making delight of me a new star

If I was a soul lost at sea
Would you build a boat rescue me
Would you brave the ebony elements
Just to save my soul from hell again

If I was a woman hidden in faith
Could you value this as we pray
Perhaps I am and have been these things
Yet I am for you are angel of my dreams

This is a great poem. Liked the idea of asking "if".

I love this poem. It sometimes is difficult to know how much we are valued. The rhetorical style leaves the question to be answered by the reader. It's great innovation.
