Destiny Calls

One step at a time I learned to walk
One word at a time I learned to talk
Three beats at a time I fell for you
before I got to twenty we were through
6 hours of my day were spent pining
my friends listened even though
they were tired of my wining
two seconds and my virginity was gone
I thought you were special
now I'm damaged in my soul
I no longer felt whole
Damn I grew up so fast
why does childhood never last
this adult life can leave bitter tastes
that even scope mouth wash can't mask
Now my friends are finding " the ones"
Their time for me is almost done
Except the true ones who still
try to chill because our friendship
 really was real.
365 multiplied by 19
is how many days it's taking me to learn
about what life really means
It's not as easy as it seems
I'm not a kid anymore
I am an adult and I'm still learning
