Destiny
This is dedicated to the other half
of that eternal ring,
The compliment to Adam known as
Eve,
A masterpiece painted for me;
If there should ever come a day where she
questions the authenticity of our test of time,
I’ll illustrate our history book to her;
Not wanting to jinx the future, but rather show
her, that just like the predetermined
moves in chess,
God played it, so that our hearts could
meet at checkmate;
For just the knowledge that Monday leads
into Tuesday,
Our first moment together doesn’t define a
coincidence,
But yet a scattered puzzle, that when
put together,
Made us fit perfectly;
I felt that invisible rope connecting us, and
as it decreased in size,
Our conversation began, and from there
the story told itself;
Stories like ours are the cornerstone
of answers people debate all their lives for;
Since the day I knew I had the ability to
care outside of myself,
I craved for it;
I envisioned us resembling two unfamiliar images
in another memorable portrait,
Then years later, having a proper introduction
in another memorable portrait,
Where we would discuss of our two circles meeting
previously,
And bring to life the world “fate”;
With 23 chapters already behind me,
I hope history writes another hundred years for
us, in plural skies.
