Despite Myself
In your world I am you,
Despite myself.
Disgust myself.
A long time living in these lonely bones,
Ones full of eagerness,
Cannot even empower them.
I take a stroll down a dark, dark road,
One you've heard of,
And I lost it there.
Wind skimming my feet,
Endlessly,
It's hopeless again.
One swerve to the right and I'm gone.
The noise shrivels,
I can imagine it.
I can drink of it in the nighttime,
Since your face appears,
Just to ground it out.
I am in your world,
I am you,
Despite myself.
