Desperately Insecure Jealous Guy

Though we both hail from Liverpool Originally I am sadly not John Lennon He was just a jealous guy Whereas I Suffer from an affliction So far worse As i am an insecure guy And it's certainly no Yoke Ohh no I can't even use or fit insecure into a verse Write a song about it Let alone make it poetically rhyme As I am not so much a Beatle As a bug In desperate need of a hug Because my father never Could express or say he loved me Yet alone I thought and believed love me But he certainly most did So in the end my insecurities Lie with and are all down to me Not he So blaming him is totally and utterly As pointless and irrelevant As what I have just wrote And probably the reason therefore why I am just an insecure guy

Back in the day Christopher very few fathers told their children they loved them, but when my father died a relatively young man, I knew exactly how much I loved him, your poem expresses a different perspective on yourself, and is far from pointless or irrelevant, it’s called the truth, cheers David

Nailed it exactly on the head once again Sir It just wasn't the done thing back then. Probably wouldn't be accepted as a masculine manly thing to do It certainly wasn't his fault he was simply a product of his time and upbringing as well Saying showing and expressing love are technically completely different things altogether And actions speak louder than words as he never said it that much but his actions sure as hell showed it Thanking you cheers David
