Desperate Wish

Desperate Wish

Dreaming of clouds watching frigid rain enfold arid ground

Disjointed thoughts embraced soothing translucent fingers

Lightning unveils upheaval within brewing without a sound

Eyes search for meaning demanding answers that matters

My mind bathes in a quagmire of a premeditated reminder

I was not the hero I pondered I might have been eons ago

The more the heart races toward that impregnable frontier

The lesser the value of such a desperate wish to not forego

'Lightning unveils upheaval within brewing without a sound' This single line illustrates so much. The inner agony and the feeling of vacuity come upper most however hard one tries to push them back. Still one wishes to think himself that he has been a hero. A profound write Anselmo

You have given me something deep to ponder on a rainy day, Anselmo. Thank you and God bless, gw

Amidst turbulence, he looks back and tries to find something significant that he has done to pacify his heart, then realizes that there is nothing there worth claiming as a resounding victory, and yet he keeps insisting instead of letting go. That's the best description I can give. Thanks, Gershon...ab
