Desperate Prayer

I'm calling out to you
Or whoever's up there
They say if I pray to you
You'll answer my prayer

Well I can't get a grip
I'm kinda' losing control
And I got a real empty feeling
Deep down in my soul

Could sure use some help
Will you beckon my call
Yeah who am I kidding
You don't hear me at all

But if you can
Would you please hear my case
And guide me through
The troubles I face

Take some of this weight
And please lift it from me
Diminish my pain
And anxiety

I can do the right thing
If you answer my prayer
Is there anyone listening
Can you hear me up there
