Despair Has No Desire
Lost in the passage
of despair and confusion
Am I tangled up in
a temporary illusion?
Is it the calm before
the coming storm?
Caught in a web
of endless stupor
Like a hurricane
in the distance
Menacing whirls
of sombre silence
Thunder roars through
tunnels of emptiness
Desolation descends
to answer it’s call
The dark of night
like the blankness of life
The light of the world
broken into shards
Despair now listless
it has no desire
No permission to
descend it requires!
