Desire

Within the Shadow
Bound by the light
Darkness begins to grow
Beyond the midnight

Desire is like the flame
Flickering within the beat
To a song that has no name
Raised up from the heat

At dawn comes time to rest
Cooled by the morning breeze
Lying asleep within the breast
Desire calmly does cease
