designing holy spaces
GOLD WINNER POEM: Allpoetry July 26
Prompt: Unveil poetic voyage upon walks nude in branches of woodland.

I hear Moon swinging in Sky
as skin connects with leaf veins
drinking nectar from wood anemone
Great Mother Goddess booms
down onto squirrelled oak
soft bursting breasts baiting
filled with devotion, crimson veracity
She swirling devours corruption
red campion with foxgloves juicy
my arthritic joints open to west wind
Her fat hands bloom blue daisies
squirting mauve milk into dusty psyche
struggling with fear unclothed cleaving
these knees ache to leap in faith
dissolve with Her liquid eyes
into amber leaking droplets dying
my arc a bark of passionate light
sweat, scars, memory mingling
with red ants into orange earth
pondering
pores exude stagnant ignorance
as I cadence move deeper into
unknown depths of woodland
where elevated elves await around
sanguine smooth purple pond
dragonflied
alongside Great Mother I scale
walls of Power, seeking mysteries
to sprinkle into pink womb
eternally loved —
dried galerina crackle beneath soles
as soul soars a poetic voyage
where the poor fall pollen grains
remembering a white linen skirt
covered groin as I scrubbed
monastery floors where now my
raw toes eat dewdrops glimmering
scriptures unsung —
derobed as trunks of sycamores
I see my digits become
artefacts
so my mocha stained belly
absorbs Great Mother’s
clarity ~ together our luminosity
design holy spaces in a ferny
forest sharing skills
climbing crepe myrtle
ecstasies —
