Desert Wind

the unrelenting desert wind
stirring my thoughts
conjuring buried memories

you were here
it reminds me
you are gone

you blew through
leaving your mark
like the Santa Ana’s

taking part of me
when you left
erasing my path

the wind still blows
stirring my thoughts
stirring my memories
