Desert Landscape

Desert wind howls in my veins
I seem to be impregnated with loneliness
Joshua trees lose direction
Their limbs disoriented from God...

It's so much sand in my heart
full of hour glasses stuck in their track
I keep on waking up but cannot stand up
Dirt too dirty, ground too shaky for dreaming

Nightmares slap me with indifference
I am saved...am I saved from loneliness?
The wind stopped but I can still breathe
I AM alive and my loneliness can't kill me!!!!
